What's life taught me recently?

The Weekend Edit: Speechless.

I've been sat here staring at the screen for quite a while, with pretty bad writer's block halting me from tapping away on the keyboard. This isn't something I'd normally even dream about writing here; it's a beauty and lifestyle blog so the pressure's always on to keep things light and never dare to approach anything serious or potentially controversial. (I've done that before and lost followers for daring to.) This week, I've felt compelled to broach it though. Unless you've been living in a cave or something, it won't have escaped your attention that there've been some truly horrific and barbaric events taking place across the globe.

Does this £2.69 serum live up to high expectations?

This serum's from Superdrug's own brand and designed specially for sensitive skin. The fact that it's so cheap means that it tends to fly off the shelves in Superdrug, which makes it pretty hard to get your hands on. So, whenever I see it in store, I grab a couple to ensure I don't run out!

I'm Back!

Just a really little post...

My final exam at Uni was on Friday, so I can get back to having a life again, at last! Which also means, after several months of barely writing any blog posts, I've got time to write again. Yay!

Please bear with me while I find my feet all over again, and get some shiny new posts ready. I'm also in the process of editing a little YouTube video too. So, keep your eyes peeled for all that's to come!

Katie Writes turns 2 today!

Is it really two whole years since I tentatively pressed 'publish' on my first ever blog post? (If you're interested, it was a pretty iffy foundation review.) It's been a rollercoaster, but I just want to say thank you to all you lovely readers! You're wonderful, and it wouldn't be worth doing without you. It's absolutely flown by, so here's to another two years!
