Superdrug Simply Pure Hydrating Serum

Does this £2.69 serum live up to high expectations?

This serum's from Superdrug's own brand and designed specially for sensitive skin. The fact that it's so cheap means that it tends to fly off the shelves in Superdrug, which makes it pretty hard to get your hands on. So, whenever I see it in store, I grab a couple to ensure I don't run out!

I've been using this for a few months, and to be honest, I'm pretty impressed. Despite the fact my skin's quite volatile at the moment, it's keeping that in check when used with La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo.

A couple of pumps is all you need to get an adequate amount out of the 50ml bottle, and it seems to last for quite for a while, which makes the cheap price even better!

Superdrug, Superdrug skincare, Skincare, Skin, Serum, High street serum,

It isn't greasy when applied, and also doesn't take a long time to sink into your skin either. Despite all the praise I've given this, I do alternate this serum with one from Aldi, as that's slightly richer if you're cursed with very dry skin. (I'll probably write a review of that too very soon!)

Disadvantage-wise, as mentioned, when my skin's in a really dry phase it doesn't seem to be quite moisturising enough, but for the price, can you really complain? It's also lacking any anti-ageing ingredients if you're looking for that, but again, for the price you can't complain.

All in all it's a great little product and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone, regardless of whether you've got sensitive skin or not. Give it a try! It's not like you'd be wasting loads of money if you don't like it, is it? If you want to find out more, it's available on their website by clicking here.
