June Favourites

Flatlay, Flat lay, Marble Background, Beauty Blogs, Favourites, Monthly Favourites, Katie Brown Belper, Katie Writes Blog, Derbyshire Bloggers, East Midlands Blogs, Midlands Bloggers, Katie Writes,

It's the start of July, which can only mean one thing - It's time to go through my June favourites!

The Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Body Butter & Shower Gel

It's official: I'm borderline obsessed with the scent of this range. It smells SO good! I love the shower gels from The Body Shop because they're soap-free, which makes my skin tons softer! Ashamedly, I've currently got FOUR different Body Shop shower gels on the go right now, but this one leaves the most amazing aroma filling the bathroom for the rest of the day.

I have a lot love for The Body Shop butters too, because they're so rich, smell amazing, and leave my skin feeling supple for the rest of the day. Yeah, they're a little bit expensive, but they're great as a little treat for yourself every now and again.

Max Factor Wild Shadow Pots (Feral Brown & Auburn Envy)

Feral Brown is a firm favourite of mine, and I recently picked up Auburn Envy too. I love these little shadow pots, because they're highly pigmented, and at £4.99, they're so cheap too! They've got a hint of shimmer, but that doesn't stop them being great for a more natural daytime look. If you've not given any of the shadows from this range a try, treat yourself to one!

PS... Love Peppermint Foot Spray

In the summer months, I get hot feet. Is that weird? Probably. But, it does leave me searching high and low for products that make my tootsies feel a little less like they're on fire. I stumbled across this the other week on a wander around Primani.

This gem is £1.50. I kid you not. It totally does the trick, and it's a dupe for The Body Shop's version. (Which is £6.50, so you do the maths.)

I'm sure I've mentioned this gem before. Vitapointe's a very rich leave-in conditioner, but I tend to use it as an occasional overnight hair mask. It's £2. It lasts ages. It's fantastic, but Boots hide it on the bottom shelves, just like they do with loads of the best products.

I rekindled my love of this understated frizz-fighting product after my hair dried out in the heatwave, and being poorly dried it out even further. If you've never tried it, give it a go!

NARS, Beauty Blogs, Marble Background Blog Photo, Katie Brown, Katie Writes Blog, Derbyshire Bloggers, Belper Blogs, Katie Writes,

Oh. My. Goodness. Why did it take me so long to try this cleanser?! I'd popped this into a wish list post months ago but bought the starter kit a couple of months ago with my Advantage Card points. It's honestly improved my skin a tremendous amount. My face looks brighter, more radiant, and most importantly, my acne has died right down. Breakouts are still surfacing, but to a lesser extent; zits die down more easily and aren't quite as big. I'm putting a lot of that down to the changes I've made to my skincare routine.

I've already re-purchased, because I genuinely can't see myself living without this cleanser now. To call it a game changer for my skin would be an understatement.

This is genuinely my first ever piece of NARS makeup! (And it might be my last since I discovered they're about to start animal testing so they can sell in China....)

Anyway, I spotted this gorgeous shade mid-ASOS spending spree and couldn't resist giving it a whirl. It's a lovely nude/pinky shade that's not too dissimilar to my natural lip colour. The finish is quite mattifying, but definitely not too drying, which is something I always look for in a lippy. It's a great product to use if I'm looking for something simple and quick to apply, that also doesn't require a lot of maintenance throughout the day.

While this can be used as a foundation, I tend to just use it as a powder. The oily skin around my nose gets horribly cakey with powder, despite desperately needing it. This is the only powder I've used in about eight years that doesn't go cakey in that area! It might be expensive, but it's so worth it to have smoother looking pores.

(Like I've mentioned, MAC do test on animals, so it's a brand I'm trying to move away from, but this is the best powder I've found to date.)

I've been using these for a couple of months, and I can honestly say they've had a profound impact on my skin. They were recommended to me after I had mixed views on Pixi Glow Tonic. One of the main ingredients in both products is Glycolic Acid, which is great for treating acne. You use the pads after cleansing in the morning, and they help to brighten your skin and keep spots at bay. My skin has improved massively since I welcomed these into my daily skincare routine.

Using these in conjunction with the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish has done wonders for my skin recently. (They also do a night version, which I'm yet to try.) I'm on my second tub of these wonders now, and it's worth noting that they're often on offer with extensive discounts at Boots and Superdrug, so you can save your pennies if you buy wisely.

What products have you been loving lately?
