I feel a bit guilty having neglected my blog for most of this week! Apologies, but you'll understand why if you read on...

I'm becoming an expert procrastinator at the moment. I'm long overdue for submitting my Masters application, but never seem to be happy enough with my personal statement. I'm seriously going to have to bite the bullet and just send it as it is very soon, otherwise I'll miss out. The stress.

Most of this week has consisted of faffing about with said personal statement, stressing out, sleeping very badly, relying on caffeine as a crutch to get me through the day and then napping in the least comfortable places possible. It's all rock n' roll for me... Seeing as I'm still doing the #100HappyDays challenge, I thought I'd show you some of the photos that I've taken over the past few days!

On Wednesday, I ventured out to Derby to do some shopping. I spent ages in Boots ogling the makeup, as per usual, and nipped to Topshop too. And then, obviously, straight to Starbucks to satisfy the caffeine craving. Those of you who read my blog regularly, or follow me on Instagram, will know of my Starbucks addiction. I don't think I can walk past one without venturing in; in search of a caffeine fix.

We got stuck in a horrid traffic jam on the way out of Derby, and I took this photo of a church that's just there. It's amazing that stuff you wouldn't ordinarily pay much attention to jump out at you when you're crawling along at walking pace. Looks quite pretty, doesn't it?

I have been working behind the scenes on my blog, rest assured. I took this photo on Friday when I gained a little furry helper whilst taking photos of the latest Glossybox. (A review'll be up soon!) My dog, Cookie, seems to be creeping into a lot of my blog photos lately. He's obviously really interested.

Saturday included yet more procrastination, in the form of digging some old photos out. Some of my favourites are on the photo below; (Including a friend and I at our graduation ceremony, Carsington Water and Cookie posing yet again.)

And then I spent my Saturday night looking for pretty fonts. Yes, really... I know how to party!

Even writing this blog post was a form of procrastination... Whoops.

Yeah, I burned the heart cake around the edges... Nobody's perfect.

Hello! It's me again. I've been away for an embarrassingly long time, for which, I can only apologise. I do have a proper excuse, mind.

My mum's been a bit poorly, and she's been in hospital, so I've been way too busy worrying and fretting to write any posts. Thankfully she's okay now though, and I can honestly say that it's lovely to have her back at home.

So, I've not really got an update to give you of what I've been up to while I was away from my blog, because it just consisted of being anxious and doing some anxious baking to try and take my mind off worrying...

I've not even kept up with my #100HappyDays pictures, ashamedly. I haven't forgotten though and I've not given up, so if you follow me on Instagram you'll see that I've already re-started doing it! It's just with my Mum being ill, I didn't feel that I'd got a great deal to be happy about...

With regards to my blog, hopefully there'll be plenty more posts coming your way soon!

So, here's to getting things back on track!

A very car orientated week!

Here's my week in review! (Not that you're interested...)

Firstly, I started doing #100HappyDays this week. If you've not heard of it, it's basically a social media declaration of what makes you happy every day for 100 consecutive days.
(For the more cynical of you, it's relentless social media bragging about how amazing your life is...)

If you're interested, head over to my Instagram page to see what's been making me happy!

We also said goodbye to Colin the Corsa this week! He was my first car, so it was oddly emotional and I couldn't quite understand how I could get so sentimental over what's basically a big chunk of metal. I've seen him for sale on Autotrader though, so at least he's going to a new home instead of being stripped for parts. We also said 'Hi!' to Pedro! (Yeah, that's genuinely his name.) Why are all the cars in my life 'male'?!

I went up to Leicester to get my phone fixed after months of it acting up and falling to pieces. Thankfully it's as good as new now! And the best thing is, Apple fixed it for free! While I was waiting, I nipped into Accessorize to get some sale jewellery (which I'll be writing about soon!) and I treated myself to another MAC lipstick from Debenhams.

And, it snowed, AGAIN, but thankfully it didn't cause nearly as much trouble as last time.

I also discovered that my car's windscreen is broken; there's a growing crack in it, so that's less money to go towards my MAC Lipstick fund... Because windscreens are quite expensive! Clive the Corsa has cost a ridiculous amount of money to fix recently, so I've been looking at new cars this week. Weighing up the cost of a new car vs. the cost of constantly fixing Clive is tricky. I don't know if I can say goodbye to two cars in such a short space of time either!

If you didn't fall asleep while reading the above, well done!
